Documentation and Coding for Success in Value-Based Care Models


Event Overview: 

The West Virginia Primary Care Association has partnered with Shellie Sulzberger of Coding & Compliance Initiatives, Inc. (CCI) to offer a webinar series regarding documentation and coding for success in value-based payment models, including improved workflow strategies. Don't miss this opportunity to learn from an industry expert and optimize your billing and coding strategies!


Event Objectives: 

CCI will facilitate three separate webinars focused on documentation and coding applicable to a variety of chronic conditions to provide tools to accurately document, code and optimize reimbursement.  The education will focus on the following chronic conditions:

• Diabetes and Obesity | September 26th - 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

• Hypertension, CKD, and Heart Failure | September 30th - 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

• Depression and Anxiety | October 1st - 12:30 PM - 1:30 PM

 In addition, Shellie will facilitate an educational session regarding effective strategies to improve operational workflow, and its impact on the accuracy of diagnosis coding and the supporting documentation. The following will be covered:

•Workflow Suggestions: Explore practical strategies to enhance the coding process, focusing on improving documentation practices and coding accuracy.

•Challenges: Identify frequent challenges in diagnosis coding, including handling unclear or incomplete documentation, and learn effective ways to resolve them.

•Value-Based Healthcare: Gain insight into the importance of accurate diagnosis coding in supporting value-based care initiatives, enhancing patient outcomes, and ensuring appropriate reimbursement.
