Please join the West Virginia Primary Care Association (WVPCA) and BOLD Planning for a webinar discussing the upcoming conversion of the Continuity of Operations Plan (COOP) to the new Emergency and Continuity Plan (ECP) for Community Health Centers (CHC). During the one-hour informational webinar, James Wolfe will provide a demonstration of BOLDplanning's Healthcare ECP system. The ECP is designed specifically for meeting the needs of healthcare providers to address CMS emergency preparedness rules/guidance.

This webinar will serve as an introduction to the new ECP platform as well as provide an overview to those organizations/individuals not yet utilizing the WVPCAready system. There is no fee associated with this event for CHC staff.

CMS Emergency Preparedness Rule compliance is based upon the healthcare facility meeting some basic planning elements:

  • Hazards/Risk Assessments
  • Emergency Operations Planning
  • Continuity of Operations Planning
  • Communications Planning
  • Training and Testing
  • Policies and Procedures
The BOLDplanning Healthcare Emergency and Continuity Plan (ECP) addresses each of these planning elements. Each facility is required to have a "facility-based" plan that addresses the above elements, based on a Hazards/Risk assessment; meaning that each organization will be developing comprehensive emergency operations plans for each of their facilities/locations.

This one-hour webinar will lay the groundwork for an in-person one-day workshop that will be held in late Spring 2019 where BOLDplanning will guide planners through entering data in the online ECP tool to address each of the planning elements required by CMS.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
This webinar is only open to Federally Qualified Health Center (FQCH) Community Health Centers (CHCs) and look-alike organizations. The webinar is targeted to Emergency Preparedness Coordinators.
