Please join the WVPCA for Introducing Rethink Your Drink: A New Approach to Nutrition Education and Obesity Prevention on Wednesday, December 16, 2020, presented by Gina Sharps.  The Rethink Your Drink Campaign is an evidence-based education campaign designed to inform users about the relationship between sugar-sweetened beverage consumption and increases in rates of overweight and obesity.  The program provides nutrition education and recommendations for improving overall health, but specifically emphasizes reducting intake of soda, energy drinks, and sports drinks.  The program is to educate children and adults about healthy drink options, specifically promoting the consumption of water.

The Oral Health Coalition purchased Rethink Your Drink Kits with funding from Mountains of Hope for the School-Based Health Centers that applied for Rethink Your Drink grants in the last year through the WVPCA.  One kit is being provided to each Health Center that applied for a Rethink Your Drink grant.

Gina will share best practices in making use of these kits in School Based Health Centers and describe how to present the information using the kits as the central focus.
