Recognizing and safely responding to incidents can be the difference between life and death.
- Is your staff trained and prepared to protect themselves?
- Do you have a plan to protect your patients and staff?
- Could your organization survive and continue operations?
The West Virginia Primary Care Association (WVPCA) invites Community Health Center staff to attend a one-day Active Shooter Tabletop and Interactive Exercise. The training will begin at 9:00 AM with on-site registration at 8:30 AM. This training will count toward CMS requirements for emergency preparedness.
- Emergency Preparedness Coordinators
- Front Desk Staff
- Pharmacy Staff
- Anyone else in crisis leadership or decision-making positions
The primary goal of this comprehensive training is to improve active shooter/hostile event preparation, survival, and recovery capabilities through progressive training, awareness, preparedness, and readiness. As part of the training, participants will include a tabletop exercise to simulate a health center that is directly impacted by an active shooter crisis, followed by an after-action debrief. The second half will consist of a functional exercise to re-create the active shooter tabletop to provide an interactive, practical application of the topics reviewed.
The training will be conducted by Active Shooter 360 (AS360™), LLC. AS360™ instructors include Battalion Chiefs, Paramedics, SWAT Medics, Military, and Law Enforcement Members and bring decades of emergency response experience to this interactive event. AS360™ Team Members each have unique backgrounds providing subject matter expertise in a variety of special fields, training, and certifications.
Seating for this event is limited. Registration closes at 5:00 PM (EST) on Friday, September 14.
