Please join the WVPCA for this informative program that will provide information on the significance of HIV testing and providing Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) in the primary care setting. Kayleigh Burner, MSN NP-C APRN, WVU Medicine, Infectious Diseases will be providing the most up-to-date information and prescribing guidelines for PrEP including the new injectable PrEP.
At the end of this program, participants should be able to:
CME and CE will be provided by a collaboration with the Mid-Atlantic AIDS Education and Training Center.
- Review recommendations for routine testing.
- Describe implementation of HIV testing.
- Discuss importance of initiating PrEP
- Determine ways to implement PrEP
