The West Virginia Primary Care Association (WVPCA) invites Community Health Center (CHC) staff to attend a three-part webinar series discussing 42 CFR Part 2. This series will be facilitiated by Feldesman Tucker Leifer Fidell LLP and WVPCA staff. 

The initial webinar, scheduled for Tuesday, January 15 will begin at 1:00 PM and conclude at 2:00 PM. Registration also includes an additional one-hour webinar on Thursday, January 17 at 1:00 PM and a 90-minute webinar on Friday, February 1 at 1:00 PM.

This initial webinar will provide an overview of the Part 2 regulations, including the new rules issued in 2017 and 2018.  The webinar will focus on determining whether Part 2 applies to health center programs and when the health center may be required to comply with Part 2 based upon records it receives from other Part 2 Programs.  The learning objectives for this webinar include:

  • Identifying the purpose of the Part 2 regulations and key differences with HIPAA; 
  • Determining whether health center programs and/or personnel meet the definition of a Part 2 program; and
  • Identifying when a health center is considered a “lawful holder” of Part 2 records.

TARGET AUDIENCE:

This webinar series is intended for Community Health Center (CHC) staff involved in medical records management, including, but not limited to: CEOs, CFOs, COOs, CIOs, CMOs, Behavioral Health and Quality Improvement.  This series is not open to non-CHC staff.
