Find out how your Community Health Center can earn incentive $$ for SBHC!!

In an effort to increase accessibility to well-child and well-adolescent exams and improve the quality of outcomes, the West Virginia Primary Care Association (WVPCA) and UniCare Health Plan of West Virginia, Inc. (UniCare) are holding a one-hour webinar for Community Health Centers.

UniCare has sponsored the Well-child and Well-Adolescent Contest for more than three years in an effort to engage Community Health Centers in completing as many well-checks as possible, with monetary rewards for participants.

For organizations participating in the Well-child and Well-Adolescent Contest, UniCare is offering providers the following incentives to help members get the care they need including:

  • $25 for a well-child or well-adolescent care exam
  • Up to $15 for including BMI, nutrition and physical activity counseling in the exam
  • A chance for the sponsoring agency to win up to $7,500
  • A chance for the host school or health center to win $3,000 (first prize) or $2,000 (runner-up)

Barbara Wessels, Business Change Manager with UniCare Health Plan of WV, will provide an overview of the contest along with anticipated changes including the reduction of paperwork for the 2018 cycle. There will be a question and answer period following her presentation.
