John Schultz is the former CEO of Community Health Net, the only FQHC located in northwestern Pennsylvania. Community Health Net provides primary medical, dental, vision and pharmacy services to 16,000 underserved individuals annually in their service area.
As Community Health Net's CEO, Mr. Schultz successfully developed and implemented a five year financial recovery plan for the organization, allowing it to recover from Chapter 11 protection within the first four years of his plan. He was also able to double the organization's revenue through strategic planning and initiating successful community collaborations.
Prior to joining Community Health Net, Mr. Schultz was the Director of Health Services with The Resource Center in Jamestown, NY. In this position he successfully managed all phases of the Health Services operation, including program development and the implementation of new strategies.
Mr. Schultz has also worked for NewAlliance Health Plan, northwestern Pennsylvania's only community-based, locally owned, managed care organization.
Schultz received his Bachelor of Science degree in Mineral Economics in 1985 from Pennsylvania State University. He earned his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh's Katz Graduate School of Business, and his Master of Health Administration, in 1991, from the University of Pittsburgh's Graduate School of Public Health.
