Our Mission
The mission of the West Virginia Primary Care Association through its relationships with political, philanthropic, federal and state partners is to continue to work in the best interests of its membership in order to support and sustain the operational missions of each member organization. Furthermore, the West Virginia Primary Care Association will continue to advocate for high quality, cost effective, accessible medical homes for all citizens of West Virginia, regardless of their economic, social or insurance status.
The West Virginia Primary Care Association (WVPCA) is a non-profit membership organization composed of all the community-based, non-profit health centers throughout the state. It provides its members with an annual conference, a newsletter, monthly membership meetings, technical assistance, governmental relations, grant funding, and program management. Additionally, it acts as a conduit and liaison between health centers and state and federal government agencies. Its membership consists of 34 corporations operating more than 150 individual delivery sites , including 42 school-based health centers. Its members strive to be good neighbors and active participants in their respective communities while providing the highest quality health care to the citizens of the regions they serve.
