WVPCA "Going Green" |

WVPCA Conference Attendees: The annual conference will have three tracks: management, financial and clinical. In previous years, we provided copies of the presentations to all of the attendees at the conference. In an attempt to lessen the amount of unnecessary paper that we generate, we have an alternative option for you to obtain this information:
-
All of the presentations will be posted on the WVPCA website by Wednesday, July 30, 2008. You can download them and bring copies of the presentations that you plan to attend with you or save them to your computer for future use.
-
A limited number of copies of each of the presentations will be available at each of the sessions in case you decide to attend a different session.
We hope that you will support our small attempt at "going green"!
~ Louise Reese, WVPCA CEO

Following the training, you will be able to join our staff and members for an outdoor reception in Oglebay's poolside courtyard. Regular sessions are scheduled to begin on Wednesday, August 6th. Scheduled to present at this year's conference are Russell S. Sobel, PhD - Professor of Economics with WVU, Joshua Gordon - Senior Policy Analyst with The Concord Coalition and Hunt Blair - Director of the Vermont Public Policy for the Bi-State Primary Care Association. On Friday, August 8th, our final session will feature a roundtable with representatives from PEIA, Medicaid, Carelink, Humana and other Payors.
In addition to the annual "Laura Small" award, we are bestowing several new categories in honor of this year's anniversary celebration, the "People's Choice", the "Golden Globe" and the "Oscar." Please contact us for more information on these awards or if you have someone you would like to nominate.
Our goal for this conference is to provide an opportunity for our membership, community boards, policy makers, providers an organizational partners to learn about the challenges faced by community health centers, to share expertise and innovations, and to gain consensus on developing strategies for dealing with the constant changes in the health system.
