Clinical Leadership Committee
COMMITTEE CHARGE:
The Committee will provide:
1. Support for the clinical teams from diverse primary care settings in their efforts to implement health improvement process strategies to more effectively and efficiently manage their patient populations.
2. Review and recommend evidenced-based practices that would be most promising in achieving desired health outcomes or access to health services in the context of the social, economic, and cultural characteristics of West Virginia.
3. Recommend population-based measures of quality in chronic disease management and disease prevention/health promotion.
4. Coordinate and promote research/grant project efforts to advance the mission of the community health centers in the most effective and efficient way.

ASSEMBLY OF COMMITTEE: The Committee convenes in a face to face meeting, semi-annually. The Committee may also convene for the purpose of interim actions or recommendations solicited by mail, fax, e-mail, conference call, or in person, as needed. Sub-committees will meet independently based on the group process – however, reports will be provided to the committee of the whole on a quarterly basis.
OPENNESS OF COMMITTEE MEETINGS: The meetings of the Committee are open to any WVPCA member who wishes to participate and is committed to contributing. It is desirable that all committee members participate regularly so that consensus can be formed and the charge of the committee can be accomplished effectively.
COMMITTEE STAFF: The Committee is staffed by a designee(s) of the WVPCA Executive Director. This person(s) will work with the Chair to accomplish committee charge and report regularly to WVPCA Board. Staff will be responsible for taking minutes, sending out committee notices, and making other logistical arrangements. Staff will also be responsible for monitoring literature and activities pertinent to the needs of the committee, and informing and consulting with the Chair and Committee members on an agenda and action items.

COMMITTEE MINUTES:
Will be posted on the WVPCA website and sent to each participating member. The Committee chairperson will report to the WVPCA membership board on a regular basis.
